I hadn't thought much about registries before I got engaged. Most of my friends who got married before me registered at Kohls or Boscovs, or some kind of in-store registry. However, I'd seen the panic on their faces when they emerged from the stores, muttering about toasters, or if they'd picked the correct soap dispenser for their bathroom. My fiance is not a shopper at all. He gets in and out of stores as quickly as possible, barely, it seems to me, even noticing what he's buying. Honestly though, I'm not much of a shopper either. When my sisters forced me to go out with them Black Friday shopping I went, but made them bring me home after two hours because I was exhausted, and not a little bored. Therefore, the idea of spending hours in multiple stores searching for things to put on our registry was not one either Tyler or I relished.
I had some months earlier, pinned an article on my Pinterest page that talked about online registries. Tyler and I decided to look them up one night and were pleasantly surprised to find there were multiple options to choose from. We decided to register on SimpleRegistry.com and found it to be amazingly easy. We picked things we needed for our future home, merely by clicking on the toolbar that we added to our bookmarks. We could pick things from any website available online, whether it was Bed Bath and Beyond, Kohls, or Etsy. Once we hit the SimpleRegistry button on our toolbar, a picture of what we chose with the price and all the details of the item would be added to our registry. It was delightful to register in the basement instead of spending hours wandering through stores.
I highly recommend giving it a look at SimpleRegistry.com
So much nicer to argue about whether the Tupperware should be made of glass or plastic in the privacy of one's home.
